Product Description
Designed & Styled by London's NIX Digital, and sold throughout the UK and Germany, NIX proudly present their new top of the range Cordless Digital Picture Frame. The NIX TS08C incorporates key design features and components that combine to deliver a better frame and reproduction of your photos. Styled & designed by NIX, high tech processing power and firmware made by leading processor chip manufacturer Amlogic of California USA, and the all vital LCD screen, an Innolux Hi-Res SVGA Active Matrix LCD Screen with LED backlighting, that provides wider viewing angles and crisp, clear images. Whether it's sharing you holiday photos using the cordless function and passing the frame amongst friends round the coffee table, or viewing photos from your desk, this digital frame does it all in style and with the finest build quality. Featured is an Internal Rechargeable Lithium Ion Battery allowing for cordless use, a 1GB Internal Memory, an Auto-Rotate Motion sensor that automatically senses when you have rotated the frame and rotates subsequent photos, Touch Sensitive Controls set down the right hand side of the frame for improved ergonomic use & a random show option for your photo slideshows. The superior image quality of the NIX TS08C delivers 20% more pixels than the Sony 9" & the Kodak 8" & 10" Frames, and over four times the number of pixels on a standard 7" frame. The show dimensions are optimal at 4:3 as that is the standard dimension of digital photos taken by a camera. So unlike the Sony or Kodak frames which all have widescreen displays, our frame will not crop your photos. Set against a flat dark surface, the touch controls light up azure blue (on & off) upon your touch, providing a modern, yet elegant look. A video option allows you to watch videos (.avi and MP4 only), and the massive 1GB internal memory provides ample memory to store your home movies and photos. MP3 music playback, a calendar, and an alarm clock end off the feature list.

This is my first digital frame and I must have read a million reviews. I had a question about this frame before I bought it. I emailed Nix and had an answer the next day. I bought this, received it quickly and it was amazingly simple to use. The picture quality is fantastic, I like the fact that you can carry it with you without having to plug it in. I just downloaded some avi videos to it and they play fantastic. I had a question after I got the frame (they have a black and white effect in the random effects mode and I thought it was a problem, it’s not). Again, I emailed Nix and they got back to me straight away. In this day and age of begging anyone with a company to help, that was just wonderful. I am very pleased with this buy, would highly recommend it to anyone.

Bought this for my mother so she can have plenty of pictures and such for her new grandbaby. The wife had verry small issues with putting the pictures on it and the music.
My mother was able to get the pictures to play, showed her how to control the delay/show timer s she could see the pictures longer etc.. the remote is very handy cause the touch sides etc, can be a small sensitive for her hands. Its nice being able to get her Elvis music to play while the pictures go thru the slideshow.
The memory size on it is pretty nice, the battery life seems decent enough, and overall she seems very pleased with it. Ill give another update at a later date after we add more pictures and fool around with it.

I own this frame already and recommended this to my cousin who at first was a small hesitant cause of some of the mixed reviews, but given we could get a guaranteed refund from amazon she chose to go for it. I’ll try to give a straight forward pro’s and con’s:
Pro’s:
1. The battery is a certain must. I can never get my husband to sit still at home to look at OUR family pics or the latest new videos of our new nephew, so instead when i pick him up from work, he sometimes browses though the latest vids and pics in the car on the way home.
2. Screen is clear and crisp and you can adjust brightness etc to suit your needs.
3. Design is most certainly sleek and modern.
4. flat screen touch controls are very ‘star trek’ – but most importantly it means you’re facing the controls and they’re not on the back where you can’t see them
5. Huge memory
6. Adjustable stand (very vital as my son is 6’4″ and I’m only 5’3″)
7. Plays all the family photos and videos no problem. never really use the music player much.
8. Nice black velvet dust cover.
9. simple to use remote with small cut buttons – one press for photos – one press for videos etc
Con’s
1. battery seems to last about 2 – 2.5 hours. would be really cool if it was 5 hours then I would use it more for travel and movies.
2. Would be cooler if it had an HDMI cable output for TV connection
3. If you fill the internal memory up to capacity and play large files the system can slow down a small
4. Doesn’t remember what the last photo on show was when you power off the frame
the only other two points that i would add are firstly the battery, which means I get a lot more usage out of my frame. it’s just simpler to take it around to our friends houses to show them the latest. Secondly, I didn’t really realize the convenience of this frame until i was at a friends house and tried to use theirs. It seemed nuts that the controls on their frame were on the back of the frame so I was having to guess which buttons did what exactly. the touch controls on the front make it simpler to use, note though that the controls are on the right of the frame favoring right handed people

Bought this as a gift for my techy toy loving husband. Came in a real nice black box. Has a black velvety cover for traveling and gorgeous blue lite buttons. Nice remote. So presentation is certainly A+. Didn’t have any distress setting it up, and easily unplugs and goes with him to show off his pictures. It is not a touch screen. I do wish I’d had gotten a larger one due to were he placed it. If you know where you are placing it you may want to place different screen size things in the spot to see what size will be best.

i previously bought one of the cheaper nix frames for myself and was pleased with it. I then wanted a frame for my elderly mom, with mom being honestly immobile and her eyesight not too excellent I needed something she could hold close to her. A frame sitting a few metres away wasn’t going to cut it. I noticed that some other reviewers have written really detailed reviews listing all the pro’s and con’s so i won’t bother, but the bottom line is that with the battery this frame does something the others can’t and I’m really pleased my mother can just sit in her special chair and flick through the photos and vids i place on the frame of her grand kids. the brightly lit touch controls on the front make it simple for her to see and operate the controls. all in all, a well thought out frame.

Got this as a gift for my parents who are not technologically inclined. They don’t have a digital camera, they don’t use computers. But they like the photos of their granddaughter more than anything else I send them. So, rather than constantly printing out tons of photos which cover every nightstand in their home, we chose to get them a digital picture frame for the holidays. The picture quality of this item is incredible! I’ve compared it to some of the frames I’ve seen in friends’ homes and it’s photo quality is comparable to the best, without costing as much as the larger brands. The frame itself is sleek and integrates with most decors. The controls are located on the right side of the screen and when you touch them, they illuminate. When dormant, they fade to the black of the screen. The size of the screen is perfect — just large enough to show the fine details of group photos, but not too large to take over your dresser or mantel.
We loaded up all the photos and videos onto the frame before giving it as a gift. Using the frame is as simple as plugging it in, turning the on switch, and it automatically goes through a random slideshow of all the photos on the frame–this is exactly what I needed for my parents. Getting into the videos or music functions of the frame is a small harder, but is not too complicated. And loading the photos onto the frame was as simple as plugging in the USB cable, and then dragging photos from My Photos folder over to copy in the Photo Frame folder.
My only wish is that the random slideshow is more random. It sometimes repeats the same photo every 10-15 frames or so.

I bought this model through the UK amazon when living in London, fantastic to see them here now in the US. The difference with the nix and other huge branded frames is that this is the most simple to use (I threw my Kodak in the bin after 4 months…)I can watch my cherised episodes of 24 then listen to my new Kings of Leon album without having to go an inch coz the nix has a pretty slick remote too, perfect for this bone idle moments… I also got my mom one for her birthday and even she can use it… and thats sayin something

I’ve wanted a digital picture frame for a long time, but never felt like their features were worth their price. The inexpensive ones were really dreadful to use and had low-quality screens. And the high-priced ones were just too expensive to be worth it. Until this frame, which is simple to use, has a fantastic screen, and won’t break the bank. And NIX’s customer service is top-notch (more below).
I place this frame on my Amazon wishlist, and received it for my birthday. When I opened the box, I turned on the frame and everything was working, but I noticed a small stray piece of plastic behind the glass, in front of the LCD panel. It was tiny, but it was obvious in front of the pictures. So I contacted NIX, clarified the problem, and they immediately got back to me with instructions for how to ship it back and get a replacement. My replacement was back to me in about a week, total. They also gave me an Amazon voucher for my shipping costs.
On top of that – I accidentally packed an unused iTunes gift card into the box I shipped back to them, and they really found it and shipped it back to me. (Thanks!) Just goes to show that their customer service is top-notch.
The frame itself is also fantastic. It looks very sleek, and I really like the way the buttons are invisible until you touch the frame. The user interface is simple to use, and the remote works well. (I’ve found I sometimes have a wait a second for the frame to respond to an input, but it does always catch up.) The user manual is simple, and written in simple-to-know language. The screen has a fantastic resolution for its size, and the color and contrast are very excellent. (They are also adjustable, but I haven’t tried.) It was simple just to drag-and-drop pictures off my computer, and they all just started showing up in the slideshow.
Net effect: there’s no need to shop around for other frames – this one is just simply right in the sweet spot for ease of use, quality, customer service, and price. Don’t hesitate to buy.
