My wife and I bought this camcorder just before our trip to Hawaii and took it with us. We like it. It worked very well and is pretty simple to use. The set-up takes a small while and you do have to use the handbook provided to get through it. We would recommend getting a second battery as a back-up when you want to do a lot of recording at one time. It is compact and light-weight and also takes still photos. Having the disc and the flash drive in one camera is fantastic! We really recommend buying this camcorder, and have found out that Sony makes brilliant products and uses cutting edge technology. thanks, Cindy and Larry

I found this camcorder to meet my expectations. The 60x zoom is excellent and the quality is very excellent. The digital zoom to 2000 is like all digital zooms – not fantastic. It is simple to switch between DVD recording and Memory Stick recording. The still photo quality requires a steady hand and is not excellent when zooming in. The audio quality is excellent. Low light is excellent. Color quality is excellent. I’m satisfied with it.

This video camera is exactly what I was looking for. I am not someone who is excellent with gadgets and technology. I wanted a camcorder that would be simple to use, and simple to play back my videos. I didn’t even need to read the directions to figure this one out. You place the mini-DVD in, press record, and you’re excellent to go. Then when you want to play it, you just eject the mini-DVD and play it right in your DVD player. My #1 consideration in purchasing a camera was that I could easily record my family and then just as easily share the videos with others. I wouldn’t know anything about editing software or special features, but for us, this camera is perfect. The picture quality is also very excellent, and the camera is small and simple to carry around.

This camcorder was a present for my husband. It was a second try–I had ordered another make camcorder for him previously. He is not the most technologically-savvy guy–and it was not the product for him. The Sony Handycam was a lifesaver! It’s simple to know and simple to use. He likes it and that’s the most vital thing to me.

I just bought this camera to replace my ancient Hitachi camcorder and this camera is awesome. The video quality is fantastic the sound is brilliant and it is Mac compatible for those who may be wondering it will work on imovie. But this camera is lightweight and the discs do not need to be finalized before you place them in a dvd player or import them to a computer, you just hook up the usb cord and import the video quick and simple. It does come with it’s own software that is only compatible with windows which I dont have so I dont know if its any excellent.

But so far I am very pleased with this camera perfect for anyone who likes to film themselves and edit the footage. Really excellent buy for a fantastic price.

Wonderful product. I just got my new cam-corder about 6-months ago and I like it. Makes fantastic movies and is so simple to use. I highly recommend if you want excellent quality for your money.

This camera does a fantastic job of capturing video immages. While there is a lot to learn with all the functions it has, and the accessories like memmory stick can cost a bit. The qualuty of the images you get and the software supplied is honestly simple to use once you use it a few times. You can spend more and get a camera with more functions, but why would you want to?
